she is the winters legacy in the summer sky.
her palms are full of worries and narcotics.
in way unknown to others, she is a queen,
royal to my heart she remains.
when black touches the sky, messiahs cry,
yet her mind remains intact;
only love makes her claim insanity.
each day is glued with humor and hearts,
yes, each day proves to be a life of itself to her.
but not today.
today was one of sugar and lies.

I miss you terribly as well :(
Like...a lot...I'm ready to come home but terrified of the plane ride...
And chad...chad is not doing too well still :( we had a bit of hope for a little but things arn't looking good again :( so much negativity in my life right now...
It's not good.

This poem is stunning sara, really really, I love it very much. <3

Sara,

either your analogies are becoming
more clear, or i'm getting used to
the way you image things. i think
it's most likely a combination of
both. you writing has returned with
an inspiration behind it. it's always
tended to be about individuals, but
now there is an added element, even
more clarity and sincerety.

all you need is a bit more focused
editing, to make it just that little
bit more perfect for critiques. you'll
get the recognition you deserve. i'll
never become more than consistently a
"good poet". you do have the potential
to be what i would call "great".

Sara, my words echo Pip's. Your poetry is always beautiful and vivid, and always full of passion and sincerity. It makes them all a pleasure to read.

Pip speaks the truth. You will be truly great. =)

dont worry about the plane ride man,
think of how many you have been on...
and your still alive! a miracle, i know.
just get drunk of rescue remedy and
you will be good to go.

`might die` kind of not well. i hope
not. your poor sister!

pippery,

i think your just getting used
to my analogies. with 130ish poems
(and im guessing you have read
a good portion of those), you
are bound to get used to the
way i state things. yes, i love
writing about individuals, or
focusing on one little thing,
because quite honestly i get too
distracted if i try and write
about `the big picture`.

yes, i just read it for the first
time and i found a few things that
must be changed. pip, anyone can
be a good poet, you are truly great.

thank you my dear frank (:
what a shame it is that not everybody
has the same passion for appreciating
poetry as you.

see beauty in everything.

They dont think he's going to wake up. they're putting in a permanent breathing tube...and that just doesnt sound good.

well, Sara...

there are poets and there are poets.

to the folks here in the dA ranks
who have a talent for words and have
formally studied poetry, neither you
nor i are poets, because we don't
adhere to what protocols there are.
to us the message is the thing, the
only thing. the format is extraneous.
there's method in our madness as we
engage in righting wrongs, expressing
love, singing our feelings. we are
writers of the heart, only heart. in
this, it can be said, "yes, we are both
great poets".

we are the yin and yang of image and
feeling, artisans of the cosmic.

how does that sound to you, my darling?
